All Natural DIY Facial Cleansing Products

When washing your face you never really know what chemicals are lurking within the products your using. Chemicals and nasties that are normally in facial cleaning products are Parabens, Fragrance, Phthalates, Triclosan and Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS). Brands labelled ‘natural’ are never fully organic and contain a lot of harmful toxins and chemicals; this is because it is not illegal to use the term ‘natural’ for marketing purposes.

VALUME are here to provide you with a DIY at home recipe for facial cleanser and exfoliator along with makeup remover for the face and a makeup remover for the eyes. That contain no hidden chemicals and are safe to use on yourself and the family.

Makeup Remover (Face) – Rosewater and Jojoba Oil

Ingredients

- 50ml Rosewater

- 50ml Jojoba Oil

- 100ml Travel size bottle

Method

1. In a small bowl mix the Rosewater and Jojoba oil together.

2. With a funnel or jug poor mixture into a sanitised 100ml travel bottle.

Note: Shake well before use

Why This works:

Jojoba oil unlike other oils is nutrient rich. It is able to carry other natural ingredients, in this case the rosewater, deeper into the skin to improve the products; giving you results faster.

Rosewater is a natural wonder! There are so many incredible benefits from using this product. It helps maintain the skin's pH balance, rosewater acts as an anti-inflammatory and soothes skin conditions like eczema and acne rashes, it hydrates and moisturises the skin as well as containing antibacterial properties that help heal scars and wounds.

Makeup Remover (Eyes) – Coconut Oil Makeup Remover Recipe

Ingredients

- ½ cup of extra virgin coconut oil

- 10-20ml Oil or 5 Vitamin Capsules

- lavender essential oil

- Small Jars/Containers

Method:

1. Melt the coconut oil in the microwave for 15-20 seconds.

2. Depending on whether your using vitamin E or oil mix into the coconut oil.

3. Pour into a sanitised jar and store out of the sun in a cool dry environment.

Note: When applying use in swiping motions or circular do not rub vigorously

Why This works:

Some people think that coconut oil clogs pores and makes skin worse, personally I find the opposite! Coconut oil contains natural anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties that aid to sooth acne. It works so well for removing makeup because it breaks up water-resistant substances used in eye shadow and mascara, releasing them from the skin and lashes.
