Some reasoning behind this is boredom, stress, anxiety or comfort just to name a few. VALUME are here to provide some tips to stop them cravings!
Stay Hydrated
Water can be a life saver! If you are drinking the right amount of water per day, 1-2L, you will find yourself feeling fuller and more satisfied and your body will be tricked into thinking its full and satisfied and doesn’t need more food to snack on.
Have Snacks Prepared
When the craving hits and your searching your cupboards for snacks you generally go for the chocolate or packets of potato chips as it’s easy to access. To help this having a stash of ready-made food that is easy to snack on like vegetable sticks and dip or cheese cubes and crackers will help to relieve those cravings while.
Eat Fruit & Veggies
Swapping junk food for some fruit and veggies when you feel like something sugary could give you the sweet hit you need and stop your craving in its tracks. Fruit and veg contains naturally occurring complex sugar along with fibre. These combine components make you feel full.
Exercise
When your appetite begins to strike try going for a walk/run or doing any exercise. When exercising your body releases ‘happy hormones’ known as endorphins. These hormones help to turn off those cravings.
